I'm using Red Hat 6.1, just like I am supposed to be. That doesn't
include kernal 2.4.0-something or XFree86 4.0, I could download them I
guess but that 56K modem thing is going to be really slow.

Risking a 100 Gigs of Space to a beta file system driver doesn't seem
especially clever.

Most of the providers (including mine) sell the modem to you when you get
your ADSL. Having to pay another 100 or 150 to get a different Linux
supported one doesn't seem cost effective, personally the Linux driver is
supposed to be up in a month or so, if it beats the Windows SDK, I'm
liable to give it a try.

I've been led to believe it doesn't, in fact comments here seem to imply
that as well. If someone has SEEN the G400 Max run dual screen under
Linux with something I can get to, let me know.

USB isn't working on my motherboard under Linux, its possible I can get it
working, its just annoying trying to get it and all the other things going
under Linux. I agree with what someone said yesterday, I'd rather be
writing an application, according to my count, between the repartitioning,
backups, multiple installs etc, I have now spent more time getting the
Boing ball bouncing on my Linux screen (on what now seems to be a
crippled machine to me) then I did getting Promix working
and I sold over 2000 copies of Promix, somehow this doesn't seem to be a
cost effective use of my time.

Video Toaster NT, uncompressed D1 video. I write video/audio
applications, not being able to get video (or at this point audio) into
the system seems to be working against me.
