Subject: | AMIOPEN: Serious problem with VPCC and C++ |
Hi,
I am going to start STRICQ under the new Amie soon and I've been doing
some example programs with C++. I've now come up against what seems
to be a very serious problem with class initialization.
Whenever I write a class constructor that takes arguments the
executable will crash with signal 7: SIGSEGV.
I put this on the FAQ-o-matic with no reply yet. I would like to add
that (somehow) I got the program to work correctly while compiling
with 'g++' on the Linux side. So, now it works correctly under g++,
SAS, and CodeWarrior.
I have RedHat 6.2 installed with the correct ncurses package
installed as per the instructions on the FAQ-o-matic. Everything
works as expected except for a program that takes arguments on the
class constructor.
Am I doing something wrong or have I really found a bug? I'm too new
to C++ and Linux in general to know for sure.
