Subject:RE: AMIOPEN: Javac error

So, I am not the only newbie here.

I am also new to java (and other non-Windoze things).

I had the similiar problems as you when compiling java programs. First, on
the Faq-o-matic it is mentioned that if you try to compile some java
programs, the compiler will spew out some errors like the one you get.
On the FAQ you will read what to do.. Basically, read the SDK manual and
install the missing java class files as per the developer FAQ-o-Matic.

Also, you must always be in the root "/" directory when compiling, and you
should have the pacage command in your java program. A good, and free book
on java is "Thinking in Java" at http://www.bruceeckel.com. Its also in PDF
format available.

I am glad to see I am not the only person working with java only.. now I
must just get Linux to know I have a PS/2 mouse in my ol' 1995 model 586/Amd
peecee so Xwindows can stop complain about a missing mouse driver. And then
fail to start.

Hi,

always raise the same error:
jcode: (*env)->FinfClass returned an exception
java.lang.noClassDefFoundError: sun.tools.javac.Main

Have I to configure the environment?
I don't know Java, but reading the manual seam that the only thing I have
to do is run the command:
javac <source>

Any ideas?
What do I have to do before compile?

Bye
