I don't agree. Everytime there has been something new in the community, like
AOS1.3->AOS2.0, PowerUp, WarpOS etc there
has always been a huge discussion about splitting up aminet
or changing it this or that way. But everytime neither of
these changes has been made and yet aminet has survived just
fine. And it will this time too IMHO :)
