As soon as I get to the snapshots area of the site (which is getting a few
tweaks and features when it is completely integrated), the following .readme
format will be implemented/supported:

---8<-- start dummy.readme -->8---
Short: short description of application here
Author: Author name (E-Mail address)
Distribution: If "NO CD" exists here, Amiga will not include this app on any
pressed CD's
Location: sub-directory where archive is to be moved
Replaces: old archive name(s) to be replaced by the archive accompanying
this .readme
Other headers here: blah blah..

After leaving a blank line to denote end of headers, any other information
regarding the application/archive goes here.. May be install info,
additional description, etc..
---8<-- end dummy.readme -->8---

The "Location:" field is currently not used. However, the snapshots
directory would eventually be overflowing and one large directory of
applications does not sound appealing.. We will use a Location: field
similar to aminet's (eg. dev/c, /dev/perl, rec/games, etc.) As I am working
on the site (in the next week-two), I will add a listing of all supported
locations and I will include a "real" dummy .readme for example sake. We
will of course, take suggestions for additional locations as they are
needed.

To affect these changes to submissions current existant on the site, those
who currently have files on the site can upload a new .readme for each of
their submissions to /pub/developers/cvs/snapshots/incoming, after adding
the newly required fields. I will see that the old .readme is replaced with
the new ones.

...more on this soon.
