I guess, you're looking for 'deprecated'.

I think an open discussion on what should be in such a description is important
and more effective as more ideas and experiences can be combined.
IMHO, Rudi's proposition is good.
One could imagine some kind of auto-update, just like Forte does (it asks the
user
in configurable intervals if the server should be checked for updates. If you
agree
it compares your apps/beans/classes with then ones from the server. This results
in
a list of newer components where the user can choose those to be installed.
There's
some kind of certification (can't remember the name) to make sure you don't get
faked
updates).
