Ah... I was thinking about Unix shells when I wrote this. Basically, you
have bourne shells and C shells. The latter are a little bit more comfortable
to use while the former have much better scripting. Nowadays, you have the
problem that the interfaces were not designed very good (so, usually,
you cannot simply use a bourne shell script where you have a C shell
script and vice versa because there are some subtle differences between
the command sets and syntax). Especially in a "startup script", having
incompatible shells would be hell (just think about the code you would
have to write to add a directory to the path during installation).

All I wanted was to make sure that you know what you're doing and from
your answers I deduct that you do. That's OK for me, then :-)
