I'd suggest in such a case to change the name of the application
(from Tool to Tool2). Maybe that's a good idea: Keep the main version
number in the filename. The main version should not change often and
it should only change when something "fundamental" is changed (ie.
exactly what we want). While in version 0.x and 1.x, we can probably
omit it.
This way, we need no special keyword in the README, everyone will know
instantly what is going on and it's simple.
And another hint: Don't restrict the length of the filenames to 18
like on Aminet. Usually, you will have some filenames which needs just
one more character :-) I think 30 should be a good value (like on the
Amiga) but more would not hurt (I just downloaded
blender2.02-Linux-x86-glib21-static.tgz).
