Subject: | AMIOPEN: Its Time We Had A Go At GDB |
Hi,.
I was reading the docs in gdb5.0 about porting to non-unix platforms
and whilst it sounds quite simple, looking at the m68k and i386 ports
makes me wonder if this is something amiga might want to help with ?
The problems are basically that most of the debugging operations need
to be supported in asm, (quite a lot). Stuff to get the current position
position of stack and frame pointers etc.
Although i doubt anyone on this list has had enough time to get around
vpcode in the required detail, i think if we combine our time we might
get things done much faster.
So i now officially throw my hat in the ring,.. anybody else fancy a
challenge ??
One other thing, i dont currently have to bandwidth to do the 14mb cvs
import anybody fancy makeing the first step.
regards,
