Hi,
just my 2 cents at the benchmarking topic:
Our 3D Routine (4 lightsources, phongshading and such things) is about
20 - 30 % faster on my SDK running on Pentium 2 / 350 MHZ compared to the
PPC-Routines running on my PPC 604e 200 MHZ.
On our other development `Amiga` which is an Athlon 850 MHZ (overclocked :-)
the routines are about 2,2 times faster than on my Pentium 2 / 350 MHZ.
We have heavy use of floating-point instructions.
