Product Info
The Amiga SDK 1.0 provides the first look at the capabilities of the new Amiga Foundation Layer. It introduces programmers to the new Virtual Processor architecture and language. It has everything needed to begin porting C applications. If you are a personal Java programmer, you will find one of the fastest Java Virtual Machines available.

Binary Compatibility
Complete portability is made possible by a Virtual Processor architecture. Once a program is written, the same binary will run on every platform that Amiga supports. Imagine porting your application or creating a new application using VP and gaining a whole new customer base across a wide range of different computing systems. Now your engineers can focus on developing applications instead of porting to different platforms.

Amiga based applications can run unchanged on x86, PowerPC, M Core, ARM, StrongARM, MIPS R3000, R4000, R5000, SH 3, SH4, and NEC V850 processors. The Amiga OS can run hosted on Linux, Embedded Linux, Windows 95, 98, 2000, NT, CE and QNX4.

Port your Existing Applications
Use the Amiga SDK to port your favorite development tools or applications to the new Amiga. The SDK easily compiles C into native code that will run on any hardware platform that the new Amiga supports.

Java
The new Amiga boasts one of the fastest Java Virtual Machines available. Because of Amigas unique translation mechanism and architecture, Java Byte Code executes at near native speeds.
