Subject: | It's Alive :) |
Hi,
Some of you may remember I had some problems with my
SCSI Quantum drive - well, it's still alive I'm glad to say.
I stuck in a SCSI equipped PC and ran the Quantum diagnostic
s/ware which showed that a write test to the last 100 meg
section failed so, I ran the Quantum disk eraser and tried the
diagnostics again - it failed. So, not to be so easily beaten I
re-ran the eraser and diagnostics test - it passed :)
It's now back in the Amiga and as yet hasn't shown any sign of
the original fault. I have to admit that I'm still not 100% convinced
that it's now totally problem free but I can use it as a temp area
for file storage as a test.
Hope this might help someone who finds themselves in the
same situation
