This is pretty much a classic example. I suppose the Webmasters share
Microsofts view that everyone should upgrade so as to have the
priviledge of viewing their site. This is OK if you are offering
something for nothing, upgrades etc, but if you want to sell
something, it can be a pretty negative step, as in the example you
quote.

Still, I suppose all we can do is make the point to the companys
concerned, then it's up to them.
