Subject:Re: Problems with CD-ROM for Amigactive issue #12

Neil,

That is the problem. I can read the CD-ROM with on other PCs.
there seems to be no problem in reading it on other machines, just
the one I would like to be able to use. I can read it on the PC
I own, and a friend can read it on several of the NEC and Toshiba
drives for the Amigas that he owns - I cannot read it on my drive
on my Amiga.

The TEAC CD-56S is simply a CD-ROM - reader. You just reminded me
though - the friend that is able to read the CD-ROM also has a
CD-ROM burner. Would I possibly be able to read the CD-ROM if he
burned a copy of it for me, or do you feel that it would just
replicate the problem on the CD-ROM that he burnt? I am just looking
to be able to get the data to be readable on my Amiga. As I said
before, I have not had problems reading CD-ROMs before. This is the
first time I have had a problem.

I appreciate any help. Thanks.

Sincerely,

-Bill Schuck
