A few years ago someone told me I could get a monitor (not a
Microvitec) repaired by that company. I managed to track them down
in the UK and phoned them. Yes, they repair monitors but only their
own make.

I don't have that phone number now, but it's worth a try. Directory
Enquiries might find them with a 'national scan' of their database.

However, unless the repair is fairly trivial and maybe only needs
replacement of an easily obtainable component, the cost of repair and
carriage usually exceeds the cost of a new monitor.
