Microvitec are in Bradford (the Yorkshire Bradford, not the Manchester
or Somerset one :).

However, they pulled out of the computer monitor market a few years ago
(just after my sixth monitor had failed) so don't hold out much hope of
them doing a repair now.

The 1764 is a fairly mediocre monitor by modern standards. I upgraded
mine to a ProScan, which was the mutts nuts at the time but even that
would have been dated by now, had one of the three they sent me actually
lasted more than a couple of months. An upgrade to even a cheap 17" SVGA
monitor would be a significant step up.
