They were actually in a bit of trouble & changed their name etc.
Afraid I can't remeber to what.
The old number & address was still the same, until at least summer
last year. but whatever you do DON't use them. I used them to fix my
1200, I'd bought a mikronik tower, & zorro 3 board when they'd just
come out (Jan/Feb '98 I think), a blizzard 1260, zip drive &
cd-rom,( I'd come into a bit of cash :) ) all around the same time & I
was having trouble getting it all to work properley. I hand delivered
it to them in Feb 98, demonstrated the problem to them & they said it
would be fixed in about 3 weeks, & cost about £80.
In the end, after dozens of phone calls, & eventually a solicitors
letter etc. I got it back, in October '99. It was in a much worse
state than it had been in, several pieces were missing, & all the
cards, - zorro board, 1260 etc, were just loose inside the casing. No
packing material had been used,& the harddrive had been wiped clean.
You can probably imagine the state of my machine.
If you still really want the number I've got first computer centre's
old number, which, as I say worked until about November last year.
By the way, when I got the machine back I took it to a guy a local
shop told me about, & he charged me £50 including a 2.1gb hard drive.
& it only took him 24 hours.
Stick to a decent company like Eyetech, Blittesoft or Power.
