What prices have you been quoted - I've been offered ADSL in Reading
at the following monthly (ex-VAT) prices by Via Networks:

512Kb/s £139
1Mb/s £199
2Mb/s £249

on-line account admin, choice of 30 POP3 mailboxes or a SMTP mail feed,
50MB web space, domain registration, upload at 256Kb/s, with a contention
ratio of 20:1.

The installation and provision of an ADSL router are free - there is a minimum
contract period of 12 months.

It's a better deal than BT offer, but it's still £1600 a year, plus I'd
still need a telephone line.

Tempting though... :-)
