Subject: | Slave or Master |
Hi,
I need to know how to identify which pins on the back of my hard drives are
the slave or master. I have a 3.5" drive which looks something like this:
[::::::::::::::::::] : : : :
The 2.5" drive looks like this:
[::::::::::::::::::::::] : :
The 2.5" drive has always been the master drive and the first set of pins
are connected with a jumper, as below:
[::::::::::::::::::::::] [:] :
Is there a simple answer to this or are individual drives unique in their
pin layout?
Please help me.
Regards
Steve
