There's no hard and fast rules regarding jumper settings between drives,
except that almost any drive has a corresponding data sheet somewhere on
the net.
Try searching the manufacturers technical support support pages.
Since you supplied neither manufacturer, or model/serial numbers, I can't
be of more help.
