The next release of the SDK is due in 2-3 weeks and is said to have some
of the Amiga DE in it, not just Tao software as in the first release.
Maybe it will give a clue as to what the new Amigas will be like.

Because really nobody outside of Amiga Inc knows much about them.

The AmigaOne is planned for release in the first quarter of 2001, but in
computer terms that means "not earlier than March". My impression is
that it is aimed at much the same market as the A1200.

Well if you upgrade this it will still be useful as a second computer
networked to the new one when you get a new Amiga.

One thing we have been told by Bill is that existing Amiga programs will
run on the new machines with something better than ordinary emulation.

So you can safely buy any recent software knowing it will still work.
