Subject: | Oh No not linux |
I don't think we can deny we're a shrinking clan, I am still a bit baffled
why the exodus has to be all the way to wintel. It doesn't seem that far
back that certain magazines were praising the ability to emulate the MAC
and all the apps we could use.
If you have to go why not try PPClinux before you do. It seems silly that
Amiga users can go on about Fusion and see linux as alien. At least if you
use linux on a spare partition it may be an alternative to quitting.
Besides as it seems to be getting more popular with x86 users why not stick
with hardware you know and already own? And keep the demand for classic
hardware. It would be interesting to see how fast PPClinux keeps up with
the classic hardware.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not trying to persuade everyone to switch to linux.
I would rather see the AmigaOS blowing every OS out the water. I can't see
that it can harm the classic hardware sales if it was bought by linux
users.
Maybe a page in AA for linuxPPC or a review of some software? or a PPC
distribution on the CD.
anyway
just a thought
