not at the same time....i run either of them depending on my mood that
week...and whether someone needs help and they run KDE or Gnome.
both keep their configs in seperate directories .kde and .gnome
so things dont get nasty. Gnome allows me to access KDE menus as well, so
alls not lost between switches.
2 ways of switching...
1) if you use gdm (the gnome login manager) or kdm
(guess) then you can change your Xwindow session via a little menu or
selector before you enter your password,
2) if you start the Linux box in runlevel 3, then you can simply have a script
that changes which Xmanager before you run startx
now, if only I could switch between DopusMagII and Workbench3.5 as easily
(yes, i know...script to detect a key or mouse press.
ah! part of our 'get new stuff developed' wishlist....a graphical changer
util that boots up in s:startup-sequence the line before the loadwb command
appears.
