Subject: | HD - dead for good ? |
Hi,
My SCSI Quantum hard drive has been "playing up" for a while now, developing
checksum errors, bad blocks etc. Today it decided that enough was enough and
appears to have died full stop.
When it's attached to the Amiga I get errors at boot saying that it's a non
valid device (possibly a non DOS disk I can't exactly remember) and the
machine will not boot any further. I've tried QBTools (2 different versions)
and RDPrep to no avail so, I'm open to ideas.
I haven't been able to reformat it as it errors with Unable to format
cylinder X (where X can be any number you care to mention)
TIA
