The risk isn't so much when the drive's in the freezer, it's when
you expose it to room temperature..

Well, I guess that may work, depending on why the heads are hitting
it in the first place.
Anyway, I guess you've got nothing to lose, although I'd check for
condensation anyway, wouldn't want to short your PSU, or your amiga
would we? :)
