Try resampling the sample to the lower settings you have used for the
Monitor. Menu ENHANCE/ Resample/Time Stretch.
Most of the problems would appear to be down to processor speed coupled with the sample rate - it can take quite a while to get these compatible with each other but when you have, everything works perfectly.

Why not 'phone HiSoft and ask if they still have a copy left. The price of
SP the last time I saw it was only around £30 including an 8bit sampler!
Or alternatively, try Amibench for a s/h copy.
