H gives a Hexdump and N gives line numbers.
I find DOpus4 more useful for Hex dumps as you can scroll up and down.
The .doc file appears to be a dump of all the RAM being used to edit the
file. The program doesn't clear the RAM before using it, so you get all
kinds of other stuff in there as well.
I think M$ employ some eccentric programmers. I expect the authors of
the more disastrous Amiga programs, like Forms in Flight, are now
working for M$.
