Hi there Richard

On 06-Sep-00, you wrote:

This has happened to me twice in two years. First time I thought I'd really
messed up and sent the drive back to White Knight who did the PC format as
you did, and they reported that the drive was fine doing fast video
spooling on their machine. But when I got it back, it was still the same.

I would think that adding power to the drive after the system has booted is
even worse... ;)

Well, I hope you sort it out. If you are having trouble mounting the drive
after the business you describe, try either the Mounter tool from OS3.5 or
UnitControl (Phase5). I used this to mount the drive, and then quickly went
into SCSIConfig and re-did the RDB (lowCyl, HighCyl) data, which I keep a
backup of in DEVS:

Re-saved the drive, and it was working again. I'm sure your problem is to do
with the RDB, you've overwritten it in some way.

All the best,
