There was "Cmanual" on Fish floppies 691 to 695 incl. And there are 5
files on Aminet which carry a manual in 12 parts. I don't know if
these are the same as the Fish ones.
CManual.lzh dev/c 706K Amiga C Encyclopedia Man 1, 2, 3
CManual2.lzh dev/c 725K Amiga C Encyclopedia Man 4, 5, 6
[SNIP]
I'd think you'd find those pretty useful, though I don't know how
good they would be for beginners. Probably quite good.

I don't own any docs apart from the 2 fat ring binders that came with
my SAS/C compiler :-)
This is the C "bible", written by the originators of C. It's quite a
slim paperback and _well_ worth having. It's how I started.
o Brian W. Kernighan, Dennis M. Ritchie:
The C Programming Language (2nd edition)
Prentice Hall , 1988. ISBN 0-13-110362-8

The above is copied from an FAQ file on Amiga related books.
The most up-to-date text version of this FAQ can be found at:

There is also a HTML version available:

The FAQ file carries a number of book titles on learning C, as well
as comments from readers of those books.
