I bought it at the SEAL show on Sunday as I was having bovver with my
existing Samba (manual) installation and thought the 5 click version would
cure it! I'm afraid not. Everything went according to plan as far as the
installation went but it appears to have picked up my original Samba
settings. However, it does PING so the connection is working. Have you tried
to PING each machine as Samba depends on this working?

Which device does this installation use? The one I have is cnet version 1.1
dated 13th July 1999 by Bruce Abbott and this works.

Try Miami as an alternative and see if that changes anything.

I have the Gateway set on the PC (Settings/Control Panel/Network
Configuration Tab and then double click on the TCP/IP network card - in
the listing. Select the Gateway tab and 'add' the IP address of your Amiga).
Also I have the PC set to log onto Windows NT Domain - without this my Samba
won't work either. In the above Settings, double click on 'Client for Microsoft
Networks' and select 'log onto Windows NT Domain' and enter the IP address
of your Amiga in the boxes. I also have 'Quick logon' selected but I don't
know whether this has any effect once the other setting is selected. It
works so I don't wanna play any more!

I hope some of this makes sense and maybe even helps a little. Let me know
please Jonathon.

Cheers

Geoff.
