PFS3 works on LS120 drives, and you don't get much slower than that.
It still sounds like a MaxTransfer problem, try setting it to 0xfe00. My
Fujitsu drive corrupts files if it's set higher than that.

Unlikely, but you don't say what the drive is.

Try without the 4-way interface. It could be a fault there.
