YES! I only go on the web when I know exactly what I want to see,
and even then I usually feel irritated when I leave. The signal to
noise ratio (information to graphics) is just so bad on 90% of sites,
and I start thinking of my phone bill if a page takes more than a few
seconds to download.

You can say "don't download the graphics", but some (a few) can be
useful or important. I don't mind graphics if they are small and add
to information, but I can do without decoration and certainly without
sound.

Oh well....opinions differ. It depends whether you want an art
gallery or just information.
