You've bought a "hyper-page" SIMM with a 4k refresh size. The Amiga
accelerators use a 2k page size, and therefore only recognise half
of the SIMM's capacity.
When buying SIMMs for Amigas, always ask for a 2k refresh page size.
These are become rarer, but most dealer should be able to supply them.
If you ask nicely, Microdirect may exchange it for you.
