Previously they got it on a PFS3 CD (plus, more recently, a patch file
from Aminet).

IMO a PFS3 CD with PFS3 insert is just "nicer" than a PFS2 CD with a PFS3
insert and a floppy. Still, as you say, once it's installed there's no
difference.
