Subject: | PFS2-PFS3 Installation |
Hi all,
After a nasty harddrive problem on Tuesday, and with the excellent help and
advice from Tim @ RamJam, I've now managed to get everything back and
sorted. In order to do this, I purchased PFS3, and have a few questions
regarding the installation. Tim said he wouldn't be available until early
next week when I last spoke with him, so I thought I'd ask here before he is
available again.
I've been using PFS2 for years without any problems until Tuesday and so
have now brought PFS3 as I said. Thing is I'm a little unsure about the
installation.
With PFS2 I was using the Direct SCSI version as I have a 10GB drive
installed in my Amiga. Reading the guide about PFS3 I'm slightly confused as
to whether I should still be using the DS version, or if I should revert to
the Standard version. TBH all this TD64 stuff leaves me a little confused :(
The second question, is in HDToolbox, should I use the Update Filesystem
button to update to PFS3, or add a new Filesystem and then select PFS3 ? The
guide didn't make the update procedure very clear to me, and I wanted to
check before doing something silly.
Any help greatfully received,
Best Regards,
