I know about this. Just recently, my phone bill arrived. Imagine my shock
when £25 of it was calls made to BT Internet technical support (at 50p per
minute), only to find they didn't log my calls, they didn't notify me when
the problem was resolved (as they said they would) and they lost a week's
worth of my e-mail to boot.

For £120 a year, I'd expect there to be a cheaper, if not free, technical
support line, and competent staff.
