IIRC, I believe that AsimCDFS handled this under 3.1 quite nicely. It works
fine for running CD-ROMs under 3.5 but is too big for making the emergency
disk.
I installed the simple CD-ROM driver on another partition with a bare-bones
3.5 Install. All I have to do is edit the CD0 entry in DEVS:DOS-Drivers on
that floppy and I can install the OS from scratch on most systems. (Not
counting any weird drivers, ect.)
What I probally can do is DMS my Emergency Disk and send it to you. All
you'd have to do is fix the entry to mount your CD-ROM and you can do a
fresh install or attempt the upgrade.
I'd reccomend that all of you keep a couple of copies of an Emergency disk set
up so you can install on any new system that you get or if you want a fresh
install on a new HD.
