The speed depends on your CPU. 16.6MB/s yes, but then you need
a fast CPU too. I've got a 030 @ 40MHz and I get about 5.5MB/s in
PIO3 mode.
Also, your old HD might slow down the new one if it's plugged to the
same IDE-port. If so, try moving your new HD to the secondary port.
Whatever you delete today, you desperately need tomorrow.
