Subject: | HD Toolbox probs |
Hi All-
Okay... new guru-rom in, and finally all
parts of 18.5 gig hard drive are accessed,
partitioned, and formatted (well, HDToolbox
says it's 16.9 Gig but that I can live with... maybe
it needs extra blocks for bad block remapping).
But.... I can't set any mount or boot flags no
matter how I try... I can only get the partitions to
mount by putting mount commands in my s:user-startup
file and when I disable my old boot partition
on the other disk and reboot, nothing happens; dead, dead,
dead (thank God for the emergency disk!).
So what the heck can I use to get the new partition
to boot? And what can I use to get the other partitions
to automount? (I'm sure this is a related problem
and the problem is with HDToolbox.)
Unfortunately, I need to use HDToolbox because
I need to change block sizes for audio partitions
and GVP ExpertPrep doesn't support this.
It shows up as fine in HDToolbox; just will not boot
(even with a boot priority of "0"... my other partition
on the other disk boots with a priority of "-10"!)
or automount.
Thanks for all the help with getting the guru-rom
upgrade, by the way; *it's* working perfectly.
Les
