I wrote a program many years ago called HunkReader. You can find it on
the download section of my website at http://www.andrewb.exl.co.uk
The source code is very messy, but it should provide some insight.
I didn't have any consistent sources of information when writing it, I
had to rely small bits of information from various sources, while
studying various executables with hex viewers, disassemblers and the
like.
If you can, try to get hold of the Amiga Guru Book.
