I tried setting up a serial network and a parallel network between my
real Amiga 4000 and a UAE emulated one on my PC. UAE crashed all the
time. I suspect the UAE serial and parallel drivers aren't fantastic.
But I have configured a serial TCP/IP network between Windows and the
Amiga (yeah, the real one) - set up an FTP server on the PC and voila:
file sharing.
There are instructions for setting up this network between the Amiga
and Windows 95/98 (not NT) on Aminet - search for the archive
W95_SLIP.lha. It lies - it is a PPP network and not a SLIP network :)
Those instructions don't work on NT or 2000 though, but I wrote
instructions on how to do it with 2000 myself (untested on NT4 but
should work) - available on request.
