This is all opinion but I`d use the graphics library Blit... functions and not
the GELS stuff. The GELS functions seem over complicated to me and I`m not
sure about forward compatibility. Sprites will work fine on an unexpanded
machine but will be invisible on graphics card.
Also don`t use copperlists or ViewPorts directly but get all display areas
from intuition and allow the user to pick thier own screen mode for the same
reason.
The ghosts and the pacman can be blited into a region that you have already
saved with another blit. That way you only have to restore that area.
