Hi,
I just uploaded an example source on how to play a sample on Ami, using
asynchronous IO.
As there where quite some thing missing from the include files, I had to
make
some things myself.Also, I could not find the device open flags so I had
to use
0xffffffff as a flag (just to be sure I had everything enabled).
There is a big delay (about 10 seconds) before the sound starts to play
if there are no other linux programs running using eSound.
When I run XMMS (with the eSound output enabled)and set it to play or
pause,
the delay is gone.
The file is on ftp.amiga.com and is called asyncsound.zip
