I was thinking exactly the same thing - SDL looks very promising, is
already officially supported on BeOS and Linux (with unofficial to MacOS
and BSD), and seems to have lots of applications and games available.
I'm AMI'less for the next couple of weeks, but as soon as I get back home I
plan on having a go at porting libSDL. I'm probably most comfortable doing
the Gfx parts - does anyone fancy helping with threads/system parts.
I'll be happy to host a development site in, say, 3 weeks, if anyone else
would like to contribute....
