I, for example, use SuSE because it's less "bleeding edge"
(ie. I get cut less often). RH will often release the most
recent version of some package without checking if it
actually works and things like that (the ncurses problem
the SDK has comes to mind). I never had such a problem
with SuSE; all updates that SuSE brings are usually only
security or really minor stuff.
