Microsoft has its own version of VP, called CEF (common executable format),
for which they already provide Visual Studio compilers, translators, etc.
This all ships as part of their Windows CE 3.0 platform.
So they could also run on all the devices that Ami/Tao is planning to run
on.
In the end, it is not the technology that is going to win here. It is all
in the marketing and partner channels. In that sense, I suspect that
Microsoft towers over Amiga. However, the post-pc era may open up the
playing field again, allowing companies like Amiga and others play along.
