A few years ago I translated AmigaOS3.1 to Neapolitan. If you happen to
have some familiarity with Italian music, it's the language of "'O sole
mio", "'O surdato nnammurato" and the refrain from "Caruso", which was
made popular outside of Italy by Pavarotti.
I had to write a new language driver and a new country file, but apart
from that, it was just an issue of translating text. Actually, there's a
major problem, due to the fact that Neapolitan is mainly an oral language
and thus there's no formal, standard way to write it and it shows when an
Italian tries to read it: he/she is going to pronounce all the vowels,
while in proper Neapolitan a lot of them are silent or almost silent. But
I digress...
