Yes, that is a growing problem with OpenGL: its great for what it does, but
it hasn't moved along as fast as DirectX amoung others. Things like
bumpmapping, multi-textures aren't part of OpenGL and I guess the problem is
if the standard isn't updated sooner, we'll end up with a lot of proprietory
extensions.

www.opengl.org also has a good news section. Here's hoping that Amiga's
OpenGL has some extensions for some of the more modern features of Matrox's
and others chips.
