Hm. It's not really our idea, just take a look at the various X window
managers.
This is from the fvwm2 man page:
The following example binds the built in window list to
pop up when Alt-Ctrl-Shift-F11 is hit, no matter where
the mouse pointer is:
Key F11 A SCM WindowList
For more of these fine examples browse through
http://www.fvwm.org/generated/manpages/fvwm2.html
or any fvwm2rc-template:
[...]
Key F3 A SM Maximize
Key F4 A SM Stick
Key F5 A SM Refresh
Key BackSpace A SM Function "QuitSave"
[...]
Mouse 1 1 A Menu windowops Delete
Mouse 2 1 A Menu windowops Destroy
Mouse 3 1 A Menu windowops Nop
Mouse 1 SF A Function "ResizeOrRaise"
[...]
Personally I like GUIs that do just the core GUI stuff and leave the
configuration up to the user.
But I'll test happily anything Gary and GUI-Team give us >;)
