As mentioned in this eMail thread, getting bash ported will open the door to
hundreds of apps which is not compilable now.
Can't we get the support guys @amiga.com to do some serieous effort to get
bash ported? Or, if someone @amiga.com can give us an update or status of
bash? Alternativley send some serieous help to Aaron as he was on the right
track.

What we will need to make porting easier is a fished port of
bash. digulla has an initial port of bash 2.04-1. There is a comment that
the version that tao has will not even compile. Haven't tested this
myself. As Mark noted make files quite often have shell commands in
them. If a project is even slightly complex with several directories, you
will see a make file that will not work on Ami.
Configure is another tool that REQUIRES bash (sh). There are several tools
that I have attempted to port but got bogged down in the details of trying
